BOSSES - Halloween Town

Lock, Shock & Barrel

Enemy HP EXP
Lock 150 (B.R.), 400 (A.R.) 180 (B.R.), 600 (A.R.)*
Shock 120 (B.R.), 300 (A.R.) 120 (B.R.), 400 (A.R.)**
Barrel 180 (B.R.), 500 (A.R.) 240 (B.R.), 800 (A.R.)***

* - Becomes 1/10 if defeated before Shock or Barrel
** - Becomes 1/10 if defeated before Lock or Barrel
*** - Becomes 1/10 if defeated before Lock or Shock

Preparation: There's not much special preparation involved. Aero and Cure are all you really need, although you might want Dodge Roll. Combo plusses and whatnot to help put these children in their places as well.

Defense: All these kids have are size and speed. Size, being small, they're hard to hit. Speed, well, they run around a lot.

Strategy: To get the maximum EXP, defeat the kids in the order they present themselves in: Lock, Shock, and finally Barrel. Or if you don't care about EXP, then just whack away at the nearest kid until they give up. Overall the worst thing about fighting these three is that they move around a lot, and while you're attacking one you'll get attacked by the other two. However, a good Aero spell and occassional Cure will help keep you from dying as you punish the children.

Oogie Boogie

HP EXP
450 (B.R.), 800 (A.R.) 2500

Preparation: Aero and Cure are a given for any fight you encounter, so keep them in your shortcuts. Air Combo, Combo and Critical Plus, amongst other abilities as well. Dodge Roll will come in handy for dodging attacks from Oogie's torture machine.

Defense: Oogie Boogie runs along the upper ledge of his roulette wheel while you stay underneath. He's inaccessible when he is up there, until you step on the correct gem that causes the section to be gated off and rise high enough for you to jump up and get on the same ledge. Of course, he'll cause a shock wave that will push you down again. Oogie is nearly invulnerable to magic, so use physical atacks against him for the most damage.

Strategy: The key is patience and staying locked on Oogie Boogie as he runs around. Keeping your camera view with Oogie in it will help you find out which glowing stone to step on. Be careful of the various blades and buzzsaws, as well as the Heartless, that are summoned by Oogie's dice rolling. Don't touch the dice either! All in all, the most difficult part of this fight is making sure your timing is right in avoiding attacks, and stepping on the right stones to get this battle overwith as quickly as possible.

Oogie's Manor

HP EXP
90 (B.R.), 150 (A.R.) 2500*

* - EXP for destroying a lantern is 250

Preparation: After you defeat Oogie Boogie, he swells up into a gigantic monster and pretty much destroys his house. He's covered in those purple orbs like the one inside the Parasite Cage in Monstro. Again, just make sure you have your items stocked.

Defense: Magic is pretty much useless here, so rely on Keyblade attacks instead. The orbs will shoot out fire, as well as the lanterns. Gargoyles will eventually appear to defend the orbs once you've destroyed a couple of them.

Strategy: The orbs aren't particularly hard to find, but to get to them is fairly challenging. It does involve some tricky jumping and camera angles, but overall the battle here shouldn't be too difficult. What may become difficult is fighting off the Gargoyles that appear endlessly. You can use them as MP recovery targets, but concentrate on finding and destroying the orbs instead of wasting time on the Heartless. If you want to, you can destroy the lanterns that Oogie swings around which fire our fireballs.
