BOSSES - Agrabah
Pot Centipede
Preparation: This centipede is quite an annoying boss. Make sure you have Aero and Cure in your shortcuts, and you'll probably want Thunder in your repetoire as well. Dodge Roll's a given as usual, and stock your items with Ethers for MP recovery.
Defense: Though you can hit every part of the centipede, it's got whippy antennae and claws on its head, as well as trailing antennae on its tail. All of it hurts if you get hit. Each Pot Spider that it assembles its body with may end up attacking you as well, so be careful not to get surrounded.
Strategy: The key is to not let the Pot Spider get assembled into its full self. If it does, its attacks become more powerful. Casting Thunder on the body or whacking away at the Pot Spiders will break up the body if it gets assembled. Concentrate, however, on the tail end of the centipede if you can, since the head has a bigger array of attacking capability. Always attack from the end that doesn't have whippy antennae to hit you back with. The head will eventually turn to defend its tail. If you don't have enough MP to recast Aero, or if you need to recover MP to use Cure, take out Pot Spiders. The Centipede will travel between areas, so be prepared to chase it around. Overall, this battle can be pretty difficult if you get continually hit.
Cave of Wonders Guardian
Preparation: Keep Aero and Cure in your shortcuts, and use anti-fire and anti-dark attack equipment. Dodge Roll will come in handy as well. The battle ahead can be pretty challenging.
Defense: The CoW Guardian is vulnerable at its two eyes, which are your targets. It has various attacks like shooting out homing laser missiles, and a firey breath. In addition, Bandits and Fat Bandits will appear in the sands below to make your life miserable.
Strategy: Don't stand in front of this enemy. Right as the battle begins, cast Aero and get your Keyblade Master's butt behind the tiger head. Try to use your jumping skills to jump onto the ruff on the cheek of the Guardian's head, and then up onto the head itself. The key to stay atop the Guardian's head (more specifically it's nose, right between the eyes) without falling off. If you do fall off, you could either wait for it to bury its nose into the ground and then lift back up, or you can try to jump up on the back of its head again. Either way, target the eyes and whack away. Save your MP for Aero and Cure rather than using it offensively. When on the ground, make sure you don't get hit too much by the other Heartless. Donald and Goofy/Aladdin should help you out in keeping the other Heartless distracted, but keep in mind they're all after you. When you halve the damage to the Guardian, one eye will return to normal. It will give you less opportunities to get back on its head if you fall off then, so do your best to stay on. This battle, as said, can be quite challenging as attacks from every angle (and homing eye beams!) will be a problem. Just make sure you cure yourself often and use Aero when you can.
Jafar
Preparation: Your mainstays of Aero, Cure and an offensive spell will work here. Thunder is the best spell to use against Jafar, but Sora's Keyblade is a better weapon. Equipping anti-Fire equipment also helps. As usual, you may want to stock your items and save.
Defense: Jafar has the ability to turn into a small ball of light, making himself invincible as he floats away to safety. He also has Genie help him, amongst his repetoire of a magic spells including a hard-hitting fire beam that shoots from his snake staff, and a damaging ice spell that occupies the center of the room.
Strategy: Genie isn't too much of a worry and easily avoided with Dodge Roll. Genie will also apologize loudly before striking so you have warning to get away. He is invincible to your attacks, so just try to avoid the big blue lug. Your main target's Jafar, who constantly flies around the room and stops periodically to try and attack you. You'll want to stay out of the center of the room where Jafar's ice spell hits, and keep running after him, jumping on the ledges where he appears and using combos to attack. Be careful not to get hit by the snake staff beam, because that will hurt. If you can't keep your minions with you, don't worry. Just send them after Jafar with the Triangle button. Sometimes Jafar will be out of reach, so just be patient and keep following him about until he gets within range of your Keyblade. Then, combo him out of there.
Genie Jafar
Preparation: You do get a reprieve after fighting Jafar the first time, so if you want to go back and save, replenish HP/MP, and restock then do so before you fight Genie Jafar. Equip Blizzard into your shortcuts rather than Thunder. Along with the usual abilities and equipment, this fight should really be a snap.
Defense: Genie Jafar is huge and invincible - it's his lamp that Iago holds that you want. Jafar in this form is also invincible to Fire and Thunder spells. Iago flies around the constantly shifting arena as you try to run and jump to hit it.
Strategy: This battle will require much jumping around, since your target lock is on Iago who is in the air. Every so often, Iago will lower down because he's tired, but then Jafar will revive him. Take that opportunity to smack the heck out of the lamp where it is. Jafar's giant molten rock that he hurls at you can be easily avoided, and if you time it right, you can break it apart with a Keyblade attack. Don't worry about falling off the arena sides, because you can't. Aside from that, jump around, whack away, and soon this battle should be over. It's one of the easiest in the entire game.
